The Engler

Agribusiness

Entrepreneurship

Program

The Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program helps students find their purpose through the art and practice of entrepreneurship.

The program is located at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Engler welcomes any student who decides to take the road less traveled. Students don't have to have an agriculture background or business idea, just a desire to solve problems with entrepreneurship. Engler simply wants to provide a collaborative community that fosters creativity and grit.

Along with classes to build entrepreneurial skills, Engler offers connection building events. For example, Engler hosts industry networking events, program lunches to build community, and "brave conversations" over coffee.

The Director of the Engler Program, Dr. Tom Field, goes further into depth about the program.

Brave conversations is an active part of the women's initiative at Engler. The program realized women were launching businesses slower than men. "Brave conversations" is designed to connect women together and provide a support system.

Every Tuesday and Wednesday morning, the women of Engler have the opportunity to meet up over coffee and have meaningful conversations about their struggles and experiences. Brave conversations has brought confidence and community to the women.
